Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2011 - Debarun
Cool and classic cotton ecru white and gold, can't go wrong with that. Designer Debaran Mukherjee's line was gorgeous in that respect, he kept is simple and it paid. The gold leaf and floral applique work was pretty, the kurtas; long, short, A-line, figure hugging, strapless and flowing asymmetric aroused with their uncomplicated and easy forms. The female models' heads draped in a dupatta maybe nothing extraordinary but it did have this quite elegance, grace and charm to it. Even the lehengas were pretty and could be easily worked as maxi skirts. The designs on two of the men's kurtas looked like Urdu calligraphy. Full marks to the designer for using a humble and organic fabric like kora cotton for his designs and making it look tres chic.
